About the Builder: Mervyn Singh graduated with honours in Civil Engineering from the University of the West Indies. His extensive work experience in the civil/structural engineering field includes Design Consultancy and Management and Construction Management and Supervision. Initially employed by a U.S. consulting firm and later by consulting engineers in Canada, Mervyn worked on the design and supervision of housing developments, major highways and bridges for his country. After gaining a wealth of experience, Mervyn went into his own business, opening up a design consultancy firm and a construction management firm. Partnering with British and North American engineering companies, Mervyn was awarded several large government contracts which were successfully completed. In private enterprise, Mervyn also successfully completed several design/build projects including residential buildings, large townhouse complexes and a sports complex.
